Eurocasinobet offer a wide range of payment options, enough to keep most players happy, and when I played here my withdrawal was paid within 3 working days of its request, so whilst not the quickest, definately reasonable enough. Note they do charge a 2% fee for credit card deposits, and verification documents may be requested once your withdrawals hit certain limits. EurocasinoBet has its licence in Malta, and does not accept players from the US.

Bonuses - the first deposit bonus is 50% of your deposit up to a max bonus of 100Euros (Euros is the only currency they currently offer), and there is also a monthly reload bonus of 30% up to a max of bonus of 60Euros. Blackjack, Roulette and Video Poker are excluded from wagering, but the wagering requirements vary so I suggest you check the site to find details. There is also a 10% bonus on all Moneybooker deposits.

Overall I like Eurocasinobet, as a fairly new player they have put together a decent offering with no real problems.

In a game of ‘Egg Roulette’ in Boston, Lancashire, 30 year old Terri De-Ath was crowned champion after smashing seven hard boiled eggs against her head as part of the competition at the World Egg Throwing Championships in the village of Swaton.

In another event George Watson and Joe Spencer, from Sleaford, managed to throw and catch an egg over a distance of 47 metres.

Egg Roulette consists of hard boiling a number of eggs as well as keeping some soft, and getting to the same temperature before the game begins. The eggs are then placed in a basket which is passed around a group of people - as you can guess smashing a soft egg against your head is classed as a loser, ib the same way as finding a bullt would be in Russian Roulette. If you get a hard boiled egg, then you remain in the Egg Roulette game.

Roulette Cheater Admits Gambling Addiction

A man from Edmonton, USA, who pleaded guilty to cheating at roulette also admitted that he is addicited to gambling. Balraj Singh Purewal, 22, was past-posting - attempting to bet after the dealer had called ‘no more bets’ and after the ball had dropped into the winning number. However, he wasn’t so subtle about it and even when the dealer returned some of his chips, he tried to push them back onto the felt.

After the supervisor at the YellowHead Casino informed him of his two bets not being accepted, he became angry and tried to grab some chips and walk away, but was apprehended by casino security andlater arrested.

Balraj admitted in court that he has had a gambling problem, having lost over $600,000 by his own admission.

No roulette in Moscow

New laws coming into place at the beginning of July may make it hard for anyone visiting Moscow to find a game of roulette. Due to the creation of new gambling zones, up to 90% of Moscows gambling establishments of which 32 are casinos, will be forced to be end their gambling operations, many becoming restaurants and entertainment centres. Some will become poker rooms, as the game has been officially designated a sport.

Gordon Brown to Bet £1 Billion on Red in Vegas Casino

No, not really - just a funny story you can read over at The Spoof.

Fancy a Free Drink - Why Not Roulette?

New Zealand Brewer 666 Brewing has recently launched a new beer - called ‘Roulette’. The beer contains 5.2% alcohol, and is a richer maltier brew ideal for Autumn evenings. Don’t expect to see it in too many places though, as although the young brewer is quickly gaining popularity in New Zealand it is unlikely to be exporting any beers soon.

BattleCreek Residents Learn to Deal Roulette

Over 100 residents of BattleCreek, Michigan, turned out to try their hand at dealing roulette and other casino games recently, in the hope of being selected to become a dealer at the soon to open FireKeepers Casino. The casino is looking to employ 1500 peopler when it opens in the summer, and it is hoped will provide a boost to the local economy especially in these tough times.

Applicants who made it through the pre-screening interviews will face a 12 week training program which they will not be paid for, but this is quite generous as many casinos ask potential dealers to pay for their own scholling.

La Boule is an old French version of roulette, still available in many casinos in France, but rarely found outside the country. The game is played in a concanve ‘bowl’ which has a number of pockets in three different colours, and 9 numbers offering different outcomes. A fairly large rubber ball (at least compared to a normal roulette ball) is spun around the bowl, before dropping into one of the pockets.

In the same way as roulette, the different numbers correspond to different colours, 1,3,6 and 8 are black, 2,4,7 and 9 are red, and number 5 is yellow. Similar to roulette the dealer will spin the wheel and ball, before calling ‘Rien ne va plus’ - no more bets. Bets themselves are made on a table layout similar in some ways to a roulette layout, but of course with much less fewer outcomes. Bets can be made on red or black, odd or even, low (1-4) or high (6-9), or on any of the single numbers.

The number 5 works much the same way in La Boule as a 0 or 00 does in normal roulette, and all bets lose if 5 is the winning number (except single bets made on it). Because there are much fewer numbers than a standard roulette whell, the house edge on La Boule is a massive 11.11% on every bet - one of the reasons this game is known as ‘poor mans roulette’. Payouts on single numbers are 7:1, and all other bets pay 1:1.

As far as I am aware no online casinos offer La Boule as a game, however due to the huge house advantage this is not such a bad thing, especially when there is no 0 roulette available now. If you are ever in France though, why not try to find a casino there and see if they offer the game of La Boule.

Up until recently the concept of a playing roulette with no zero would have been unthinkable, the general options available were American Roulette which has of course 0 and 00, European Roulette (also called single zero roulette), or occasionally French Roulette, which has a single zero but also the ‘La Partage’ rule which means that any ‘even-money’ bets return half the stake if 0 is the winning number. These games can quickly part you with your money - the house advantage on the worst version - American Roulette - is over 5%!

However, online players are now able to play roulette with no 0 at all, at Betfair’s Zero Lounge giving punter true odds. This has rocked the online gambling world, and to be honest if you play online there should be no reason to play anywhere else - unless you are a US player, as unfortunately you will not be allowed to play at Betfair.

Playing Roulette with zero house edge drastically changes the game, however it does not mean more basic systems like the martingale strategy will work - they will increase the return to 100%, however obviously this will be the return whatever betting system or sequence you decide to use. You can of course use my free roulette system which will return a profit at zero house edge roulette, as well as any other roulette game with a house edge.

About Betfair’s Zero Lounge - Zero House Edge Casino Games Betfair’s Zero Lounge was introduced in 2006, 6 years after it’s main launch in June 2000, as a means to attract more customers in the hope that they will not only play on the zero edge games, but also on the regular casino games, at poker, and also place bets in the betting exchange - the core of Betfair’s business.

Betfair’s Zero House Edge Roulette is exactly that - roulette with no zero, which means all bets on the table have a 100% expected return rate, for example any even money bets will, on average, win 50% of the time. As shown above, this is much more than normal single or double zero roulette tables. Zero House Edge Roulette is not the only game however, Betfair also offer Blackjack, Baccarat, and Jacks or Better Video Poker. The zero house edge blackjack has a number of rule changes from normal European Roulette - natural suited blackjacks pay 2 to1, a five-card 21 pays 2 to 1, Aces cannot be split although all other pairs can be, though only once. Doubling is allowed on 8,9,10 and 11, including soft 18,19,20 and 21, abd finally insurance can be taken any time the dealer is showing an Ace, regardless of the card the player is holding. These changes mean that most players will have to make adjustments to their basic strategy, in order to get the house advantage down to 0 - players who do not make adjustments will continue to give the house an edge.

Betfair’s Zero Lounge Baccarat has a commission on the banker bet of just 2.75% - far lower than any other online casinos, and their Jacks or Better Video Poker has a royal flush payout 22% higher than anywhere else, although this game of course also requires optimum strategy in order to cut the house edge down to zero. All Betfair Zero Lounge games have a return of 100% correct to at least 1 decimal place when played with optimal strategy, so get playing there now for zero house edge roulette and other favourite games.

Roulette House Edge Comparison

American Roulette (0 and 00) - 5.26%

European Roulette (single 0) - 2.70%

La Partage Roulette (single 0 and half stake back on even money bets) - 1.35% (on even money bets, inside table bets still 2.70%)

I was chatting to someone in a casino a while back, who was adamant that the house edge on American Roulette was 5.4%, as it must be twice as much as single zero roulette, there being twice as many zero’s. The reason this is not true is because American Roulette has one extra pocket to house the 00. Therefore the house edge in European roulette is 1/37, and American roulette is 2/38 - so now you know.

The second new roulette game looks very interesting. It is called Live Roulette Pro, and as you may be able to guess from the name involves a live dealer. On first inspection it seems a much more visually impressive version than many other live dealer games available, with the dealer in the top middle of the screen and the table layout below. Time will tell how well the game works - personally I have always been dubious of live dealer games as they don’t get the action I require, however this one is definately worth checking out.

Nevada Gaming Officials has issued a warning to casinos to be on the look out for people using their iPhones whilst at the tables, after Californian officials found players using the devices at Indian Casinos. The reason for this is the release of an app which can be used to count cards whilst playing blackjack - a strategy which has for a long time caused concern for casinos.

Whilst counting cards in itself is not illegal, casinos do frown upon it and are likely to escort you from the premises if they have rason to suspect you. Using an electronic device however is illegal under many gambing authority rules. In particular Nevada Statute NRS 465.075 states:

A news article has appeared on the Pittsburgh Tribune Review site about plans to install electronic roulette machines in the Meadows Racetrack and Casino. Table games are illegal in Pennsylvania, and Meadows is hoping that by using electronic versions of the game rather than the traditional human dealt tables they will be able to circumvent the law. The state’s Gaming Control Board has ruled that the games are classified as slot machines, and are therefore legal to install, but some legal experts are not so sure.

Meadows Racetrack and Casino hopes that introducing the games will satisfy their customers wants, with them constantly asking staff at the casino when the games will be introduced.

Meadows currently offers 1825 slot machines, video poker machines in one of its bars, and of course it’s racetrack.
